I think that this service is great. I will be start walking April 28 from St Jean. I will definitely send a package to you with some things that I do not wish to carry while walking.

I will be walking all the way to Muxia (“Ojala”), and because there are many uncertainties with weather and my walking progress, I cannot say exactly when I will arrive in Santiago, but I would like to stay with you if possible. I will have another chance to see you and pick up my package when I return from Muxia. I will have to email you from the Camino when I get close enough to know the day of arrival.

I will stay in contact with you.

    Good Luck with your business.
    Glenn

    Hello,
I’m hiking the Camino Frances on 17th March 2011 and have some ‘excess weight’ that I’d like to send to Santiago del Compostella ahead of me. In my trek through the internet I came across your webite with the information regarding postage storage.

    This is very useful.
I have a netbook that weighs 2kg and is about 30cmx30cm.

I will hopefully arrive in SdC on 25 April 2011.
    Thankyou

    • Hi Mariana,
we also store suitcases, the prices are the same than packages. If it´s a medium or big suitcase the cost of it would be 25 eur.
      Thank you.

      • Hello Jane,
at Madrid airport there is a post office in T1 (arrivals), they open between 08.30 until 14.30 from monday to friday and between 09.30 to 13.00 on saturdays. If your timing is not coincident you can also use a courier, for instance “MRW”, located inside the airport, they open also in the afternoon until late evening.
        Regards.

    Dear Manuel,

We started out journey om the 5th of May in Barcelona.
On the 13th of May we will fly to Santiago and would like to put our 2 suitcases in Santiago, because then we go by bus 100 km backwards foor walking the last 100km of the St. Jacobspath.
I see that the price is 25E for one suitcase?
Is it possible that you can pick-up the suitcases from the airport?
We will arrive Friday the 13th about three o’clock afternoon.
Then a week later we will arrive on friday or saturday: the 20th or 21th of May in Santiago.

Hope you understand my question, with kind regards,

    Hi Manuel,

I am walking the Camino from SJPP through to Finisterre (June 3 to approx July 15 this year)and would like to forward a suit case (670cm x 430cm x 250cm, and weighing about 8 kg) to you in SdeC for safe keeping. This is a larger size than your quoted fee of 25 Euros so firstly I would like to check the price. Also, how do I get the suitcase to you? Is it better to forward it from SJPP or Madrid? And do you know how much that will cost?

    Thank you for your help.

I am walking the Camino from SJPP to Santiago starting on May 18th and I would like to forward a small package to you for safe keeping. I will send it from SJPP when I arrive there. I do not know exactly when I will arrive in Santiago but home to be there in the last week of June. I will try and send you and email when I know more as I am thinking that I will want to make an accomodation reservation at Pension Badalada.

Al, I would ship your package from Spain, not France. It would be cheaper to have one of the luggage carriers take it over the Pyrenees and then ship it in Roncesvalles or any other town with a post office. I made the mistake last year and then shipped some other things from Pamplona and the cost was at least half what I paid in France.

I plan to start my walk in Pomplona Aug 30 from Madrid; don’t know if the hotel (have not made any reservations yet) in Madrid that I will stay overnight will allow me to leave my one medium size luggage there until I return. I plan to stay in Madrid for two days after the pilgrimage. In any event, if they don’t, would it be better to send my luggage from Madrid or Pomplona? Can I send my luggage without wrapping or placing it in a box? Is there a courier service from Madrid? What is the cost to send the soft sided luggage, weighing less than 20 lbs? Thank you for your response.

    Reply

    • Hi Lilian,
if you can´t leave your luggage in Madrid and you need to send it to me you can do it from Pamplona or Madrid, there´s no difference if you use the post service, you can check fees here: http://www.correos.es/comun/tarifas/02P0201b-PaqAzulTarifas.asp It will be around 10 euros for less than 20lbs; in this case you need to place it in a box that you can get in the same post office. If you use a courier you can send it without box or wrapping and yes, there are many courier companies in Madrid: UPS, MRW, SEUR, …

Hi Manuel: I will be arriving in Spain sometime around May 12. I will have one small piece of luggage (the size of a carry-on) that I would like to send to you. What is the safest way to ship it to you? Would it be the postal service or a courier company? Also, any recommendations for the best way to secure the luggage so that it can’t be opened?

    Regards, Sonya

    Reply

    • Hello Sonya,
both the postal service or courier company are safe, so far the only problems that have happened were because of sending parcels from countries outside Europe that were retained in customs. For securing luggage I would lock the small suitcase and place it inside a closed box (they sell them at the post office).
      Regards.

    Hello
because I go to the camino with my dog, I would have for the trip by air, leave a dog kennel Forward. one friend, it would send to the beginning / mid October, so make sure that I can do, I am not without the airport.
now my question to you. because the box is slightly larger than the dimensions that you have stated here, I wanted to know if you would store the box anyway?
The exact dimensions of the box I was not looking, I get it tomorrow, but they should be about 105cm x 70 x 60.
my trip goes on 6 november, I’d be a couple of days ago to pick with you.
I hope and pray that it works, or I’m at a loss where I should send them to the store else to go
and sorry for my bad english 🙂

    greeting
    Peter

    • Hello Peter,
you can send the box to us even if it´s larger, the cost will be 25 euros anyway. Since it may happen that I have closed the “Pensión” for low season you can email me a couple of days before you arrive or phone me and I´ll meet you to give you the box at the time you need.
      Regards.
      Manuel.

I am arriving in Santiago airport on Oct 3rd at 5:45pm and catching the bus to Lugo-Sarria for the last 100k. How can I get my suitcase to you for storage? do you have shorter term storage too?
    thank you,
    Julia

    • Hi Julia,
if you are going to catch the bus to Lugo-Sarria from the bus station it will be easier for you to leave your suitcase there, they have a service of storage and charge 3,5 euros per day. Before you do it go to the information desk and tell them it will be for one week aprox. If you prefer to leave it with us you must bring it to our “Pensión” or sending it from Sarria which will make it more expensive. We don´t have a shorter term storage.
      Best Regards.
      Manuel.

    Hi Manuel,
We had spoken previously, and I am confirming we just sent two large boxes to the address listed. We should be arriving beginning of November, and as discussed will contact you prior to our arrival to make sure we can coordinate a time to get the boxes. Can you please confirm that this is ok? Thank you for your help and we’ll see you in November.

    Best regards,
    Justin

      Hey Manuel,
We also ended up losing more stuff and sent another small package to your facility. Can you please let me know if that will still be ok? Thank you.

      Regards,
      Justin

    Hi Manuel
Me and a friend are due to start the Camino Frances in a few days and We will be travelling on for a number of months after the camino so will need other clothes and shoes with us after the camino. We are very keen not to carry this additional weight for the walk and would like to post then on to Santiago. We antisipate completing the Camino in Santiago around the 20/21st November 2012. Will your lugaguage storage facility still be open then as I am a bit confussed as to when you close (winter and low season)?
Please let me know if your storage facility is availabel for this time period as I have only herd positives about it and would love to use and recommend it to others in the future.
Look forward to hearing from you regards to if you are open during this period
    Kind regards
    Kath Hedley

    • Hi Kath, we´ll be closed by that date but since I leave in Santiago I could give it to you anyway, the only thing is that I need to know before you arrive what exact date and aproximate time you´ll want to pick it up. I hope this helps you. Regards.

  59. Hi Manuel, I would like to send my large backpack but I only require storage for one week so is there another rate for this or does the full charge apply?

Hi Manuel, Is there any way you can pickup a suitcase at the airport and then store it for two weeks. I would expect an additional charge for this additional service.
